Precious before she was
uprooted.
Below Precious when she arrived

Precious was the first to be unloaded she did not
panic as bad as Nabacha during the transfer, she did rub fur off her
face but not to the extinct Nabacha did. But she was terrified when
when took her carrier off the truck, again all that was home and
safety to her was now gone. Once we placed the carrier in the
walkway and opened the slide gate she went straight into the cage
walked around a little then settled into the spot above, and seemed
quite relaxed. But sometimes looks can be deceiving, it was just the
calm before the storm. She would call to you and come running to be
petted, but once she got close and realized you were not who she
thought you were you would then get the hiss and nasty look . Not a
happy kitty, but this too would change in a very short
time.
We were told that Precious was the one who loved to
be petted and would beg for attention from anyone. But for her every
thing has changed and she was now in a cage with Nabacha instead of
being next to her. All these adjustments, new home, new cage,
sharing her space, strangers, but one thing was familiar she had her
den box too. Precious retreated to her den box and spent several
days in there coming out just once in a while to see if it was all a
dream or had she really been moved from all she knew. One plus is
that both Precious and Nabacha ate for me the first day and the next
morning, since then feeding time has not been a problem. Some cats
will refuse to eat when they have been moved.
It took Precious about a week to come out of her shell, but
she too is now being petted and much happier. Now that both
sides of the cage are done and she has more space she has
mellowed out even more. Below she relaxes by the divider waiting for
the other side to get done. They both sit and watch as the roof has
gone up and the den box was built. They pace the fence waiting to be
let in to the new cage. She has given in to attention and decide
that life here is pretty good, a lot more room to run than she had
before and a nice mister system above to keep her cool on hot days.
Since they came another addition has been built and yet another
cougar has come to be with us Baby is
the newest.

Today both Precious and Nabacha now share a large new
addition to the other cage, where they can run and play or just rest
on the platforms together. Their new addition is about 16 foot
wide and about 64 feet long.
Below Precious is letting it be know in no uncertain
terms she does not want anymore photos taken, isn't she
Precious.
