Nyla arrived here in
early Spring 2007, she is still in her carrier checking things out
at her new home from a safe and familar place. She has been moved
several times in her short life, first to KY. then to central AR.
and now here. She will remain here now and not have to worry about
being moved again.
She now has a place of her own
with platforms, logs, a bush and her old denbox that came with
her.
She has adjusted well and her
favorite past time is trimming the bush in her cage. One corner
of the cage is left with tall grass for her to lay in, she like
laying down there in late afternoon. She is not secure enough yet,
but has let me pet her a few times. I think in time she will be
fine, she is doing well for being moved to a new
place.

Nyla shares a common wall with
Phoebe the Canadian Lynx, maybe in time Phoebe will learn she has a
new friend. Nyla has a new platform to watch over things around her,
she can watch the deer graze in the field and her old friend Rufus
and Biggie are in her view too.

Nyla loves to spend
time trimming the bush in her cage and it has become one of her
favorite spots during the heat of the day. Late afternoon she moves
to the high grass.
She has done well
adjusting to new things since she arrived and is very calm for a
serval. She will just lay and watch her grass being cut and could
care less. In time we would like to give her a larger area to move
around in, but for now she has a large cage, compaired to so many
others out there.
